Bold Coast Leads builds and ranks local-service websites in Maine and sends the calls and form leads they produce to one local business per market. This page explains what information we collect when you use this website or call one of our tracking numbers, and what we do with it. What we collect
We only collect what we need to answer you and run the service. That breaks down into a few things.
- Contact form details. When you fill out a form on this site, we collect your name, phone number, email, business or trade, town, and whatever you type in the message box.
- Call recordings and details. The phone numbers we use for our sites and rentals are tracking numbers. When a call comes through one of them, we record it and log the caller number, the date and time, and how long the call ran. More on that below.
- Basic analytics. Like most sites, we log standard visit data such as the pages you view, your approximate location, the device and browser you use, and how you got here. This is aggregate. We are not trying to identify you by name from it.
Call recording
Calls that go through our tracking numbers are recorded. We do this so the business getting the lead can hear what the customer asked for, and so we can confirm a lead is real before anyone is billed for it. Maine is a one-party consent state for call recording. If you would rather a call not be recorded, hang up and reach the business another way, or tell us and we will not keep the recording. Recordings tied to a billable lead show up in the client's monthly report.
How we use what we collect
We use your information to do the job you came here for, nothing else.
- To reply to you and answer your questions.
- To deliver leads to the one local business that holds your market.
- To bill correctly and to settle any dispute over whether a lead was real, using the recording as the record.
- To see which pages and markets are working so we can improve the sites and the service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send marketing emails to people who filled out a form expecting a service call.
Who we share it with
The short version is almost no one. When you contact us about a service in a market we run, your inquiry goes to the single local business that holds that market, because that is the whole point. Beyond that, we share information only with the service providers we use to actually run the business, like our email host, our call and tracking-number infrastructure, and our analytics tool. They handle the data on our behalf to keep the service running, and they are not allowed to use it for their own purposes. We will also hand over information if the law requires it.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to understand how people find and move through it. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects standard usage data on our behalf. You can read how Google handles that data in their own privacy terms, and you can block cookies in your browser settings if you prefer. Turning them off will not stop you from using the site or contacting us.
How long we keep it
We keep contact form details and call records for as long as we are working with you or the business that received the lead, plus a reasonable window after that for billing, taxes, and any dispute. When we no longer need something, we delete it. Analytics data is kept in aggregate on the timeline our analytics provider holds it.
How to see or remove your data
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@boldcoastleads.com with the phone number or email you used, and we will take care of it. If you submitted a form by mistake or no longer want to be contacted, just tell us and we will remove your details.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If it is a big change, we will make it obvious.
